The fingerprinting process is conducted through a live scan machine rather than ink rolled on a card. The fingerprints are submitted to the specific state agency in order to process your level 2 background check.
In order to conduct a digital fingerprint, you must have:
A valid, government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, Valid DMV ID, Passport, Military ID, or Resident Alien Card)
ORI Number
OCA Individuals fingerprinting for DCF, please bring your (OCA#)
Your Employer or Regulatory agency will have this information. We cannot be responsible for selecting the correct one for you. It is important to use the correct ORI Number when submitting fingerprints. If you do not provide an ORI number or if you provide an incorrect ORI number to the live scan provider, you will not receive your fingerprint results. It is extremely important to use the correct ORI when having your fingerprints scanned. You must bring this with you.
The OCA is the Controlling Agency Identifier provided by DCF to identify the provider requesting the background check. Without both the ORI and OCA numbers, FDLE cannot process the request and DCF will not know where to send the results.
The fingerprinting process should take anywhere between 5-10 minutes, depending on the image quality of your prints and the information you supply us with.
Fingerprint On Wheels does not provide copies of background checks. The information is sent electronically to your potential employer or licensing department. It is at their discretion to provide a copy for your records.
Typically, results are received within 3-5 business days. We do not issue refunds under any circumstances once the scan has been submitted. Please be certain that the information you provided is accurate as once it is received by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, it will be processed exactly as it was submitted and cannot be changed.
We accept all major credit cards or cash. We do not accept personal checks under any circumstances.
Our advanced digital scanners work even with challenging fingerprints. If issues arise, we have backup methods and can work with you to ensure successful capture. There’s no additional charge for multiple attempts.
